Hollie Mendenhall

Hollie Mendenhall is a music educator, pianist, and ukulele enthusiast. She has a BSE degree in Music Education from Millersville University, a masters in Music Education: research track from West Chester University, and post-graduate work at the University of the Arts. She is currently finishing her principal certification at Drexel University. Hollie has been teaching music both in public schools and privately for over 20 years. She has presented at PMEA and the Altoona Ukulele Soirée, and is an active member of Ukulele Uprising in Lancaster. Additional interests include songwriting and musical theater. She lives in Mountville with her husband and two daughters.

Jacob Thro

Jacob Thro is teaching Guitar and Electric Guitar, Electric Bass and Ukulele.

Jacob is a multi-instrumentalist and educator with more than 18 years of teaching experience. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music and audio engineering from Shenandoah Conservatory and teaches piano, acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, and ukulele. With more than 25 years of performance experience in bands, orchestras, and various ensembles, Jacob brings a wide range of musical styles and real-world expertise to his teaching. He has a patient and adaptable approach – able to guide students through a structured program or provide the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace. Jacob’s lessons emphasize both skill development and creativity, helping students grow as confident, expressive musicians.
