Ryan Kauffman

Ryan Kauffman is a saxophonist, woodwind artist, and teacher based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He leads several exciting projects, including the (717) Collective and Triology. He is also a founding member of the NakedEye Ensemble. He teaches saxophone and directs the jazz ensembles at Millersville University and performs throughout the Central PA region, including appearances at Bethlehem Musikfest, Tribeca New Music, Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz, New Music Gathering, Lancaster Jazz Festival, Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, Lancaster Summer Arts Festival, Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival, and Roots & Blues.
He has had the privilege of performing with Ron Thomas, Peter Paulsen,
Harrisburg Symphony, Reading Symphony, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra,
and the Liberty Wind Symphony.

Janine Thomas

Janine Thomas received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education (Magna Cum Laude) from Millersville University. She currently holds the position of Principal Clarinet with the Harrisburg, Lancaster and Reading Symphonies. An extremely versatile musician, she also performs regularly in the Fulton Theater pit orchestra on clarinet, bass clarinet, piccolo, flute, alto flute, soprano sax, alto sax, and tenor sax. She maintains a private teaching studio at Penn Square Music Conservatory. Ms. Thomas has performed concertos by Mozart and Finzi in Reading, Debussy’s Première Rapsodie and the Copland Clarinet Concerto in Harrisburg, and the Artie Shaw Concerto, Mendelssohn’s Concert Piece No. 1, Strauss’s Duet Concertino, and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for Winds in Lancaster. In addition, she has performed Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro with the Ying Quartet on the Market Square Concerts Series in Harrisburg. 

On the Stuart and Friends Series she has performed Schubert’s The Shepherd on the Rock and Mozart’s Quintet for Piano and Winds. 

A cat lover, Janine has nine cats and feeds at least thirty more on a nightly basis!
